Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Please note that this not an exhaustive inventory of this regulation feature (technical criteria from MNR dictate that surface water reaches draining greater than 125 hectares be considered as part of the riverine flood hazard) and only represents what floodplains are currently mapped. Therefore there are regulatory floodplains that are not mapped but are covered by the text of the regulation. The data currently includes both This feature class depicts floodplains regulated by the Authority as the Riverine Flood Hazard under the Generic Regulation of the Conservation Authorities Act (Ontario Regulation 97/04). regulatory floodplains, and advisory floodplains. This dataset was developed by creating polygons from the polyline geometry of the flood lines in the Authority's Riverine Floodplain Mapping database. Please note most of the floodplains are based on the 100 year event but some systems in Niagara Falls specifically are still managed with the Regional Storm (Hurricane Hazel).</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
